Meet Azalia
Azalia brings empathy, patience, and thoughtful communication to her role as a Legal Assistant. Drawn to family law because of its broad scope and emotional and social complexity, she values the opportunity to guide and support clients through challenging situations, helping them feel understood and reassured.
Originally from Torreón, Coahuila, Mexico, Azalia studied International Relations at the University of Guadalajara. She began her professional career as an International Trade Analyst at HP Computers and later transitioned into nonprofit organizations. She gained early work experience in customer service and language interpretation while supporting her studies.
Azalia enjoys seeing the direct positive impact her work has on others, and she approaches each day aiming to create a supportive and positive experience for clients and colleagues alike. She has volunteered at several film festivals with a social purpose, such as Ambulante and MICGénero, helping bring free documentary screenings to communities and supporting social justice initiatives through film. She is also passionate about gender equality and amplifying the voices of female artists through exhibitions, talks, and collaborative projects.
Outside of work, Azalia enjoys reading, writing, yoga, meditation, roller skating, watching films, and listening to music. Her favorite quote is by Agnès Varda: “If we opened people, we’d find landscapes.”
